Earth Day GreenUp
Grogan’s Point Residents Association is excited to participate in Earth Day 2019 on March 23rd, the annual community wide stewardship project for The Woodlands Township.
Come join your neighbors and spend some time outdoors bagging trash from our streets, pathways, and streams. You gather your friends, and we will provide the bags. We will be meeting up at Grogan’s Point Park at 8:30AM and assigning teams to specific areas.
Following our neighborhood clean-up, all participants are invited to join the larger community at the GreenUp Celebration, a community-wide party at Northshore Park from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The party will feature games, free face painting, and live music! If you would be interested in biking to Northshore Park with a group of GPRA neighbors, please RSVP to Sheri Dunlop, no later than March 20th.
While at Northshore Park, be sure to pick up your free t-shirt and slice of pizza for being a GreenUp volunteer! The County (and GPRA) appreciate you and want to thank you for registering to help keep our community a clean and green place to live!
Please pre-register here by March 11, 2019 as an individual. Everyone must sign a waiver. By pre-registering, you sign a waiver online. If you miss pre-registration, please print, sign and bring the waiver to check-in. Participants under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
Volunteers should wear long pants and closed-toe shoes or boots, as well as hats, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, your favorite gloves and a reusable water bottle. There will be a refilling station at the Northshore Park celebration! Disposable gloves and bags will be provided.
